Oakwood Farm, in Warrenton, will host a clinic with Jean-Paul Magnen of the Cadre Noir (www.cadrenoir.fr) on May 11 and May 12. All riders are welcome, beginning through advanced. See www.OakwoodFarm-va.com for sign-up info.
Jean-Paul Magnen coaches Olympic level teams in several European countries. He is one of the few horsemen in the world who have competed at the Grand Prix four-star level in all three of the Olympic disciplines: eventing
(1974 to 1982), jumping (1983 to 1992), and dressage (1995 to 1999). He has brought more than 50 horses (6 in
dressage, 30 in jumping, and 15 in eventing) to the Grand Prix four-star level for the Cadre Noir and for private
organizations and individuals.
Jean-Paul Magnen spent 28 years of his career with the Cadre Noir. Like the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, the Cadre Noir teaches the classical art of Haute Ecole and maintains the tradition of academic dressage.
The Oakwood facility has an indoor arena with footing from Equestrian Surfaces. Auditors will enjoy the upstairs
panoramic viewing area with a sound system linked to Jean-Paul’s microphone. Jumping and Event riders may use
the ride-out and jump fields, weather permitting.
Meet Jean-Paul Magnen for an informal Q&A and light refreshment after the last session on Saturday.
