WOODLAND FARM, a 17 acre private farm in Middleburg has 2-3 stalls available. Facilities include a 5 stall center aisle barn, heated tack rooom with individual lockers & outdoor riding ring. This is an ideal situation for a person(s) that has a virtually maintenance free horse/pony and cannot afford the high board rates in NoVA.
Instead of self care, we will call this LIMITED CARE, you provide your own grain, supplements, hay, farrier, vet, etc.. plus barn chores. Owner lives on the premises and will feed/water the horses twice daily if necessary. We like our horses to be horses! They are pampered but are on 24/7 turnout with access to their stalls at all times. They are brought in twice daily for their grain. With LIMITED CARE, the boarders are responsible for all barn chores, mucking & cleaning! A great place for a rider that can only get to the barn once or twice a week! No drama! Kids & well behaved dogs are welcome on the property.
One very sweet mare resides there. She is a small TB (15.1hh), barefoot, not herd bound, no supplements, can be on lush grass, comes & goes at will, gets along with all horses, ponies, kids & adults. She is just a good all around horse. We are looking for one or two horses/ponies that are similiar to this.
Please, no high maintenance or founder prone horses or ponies as we have LUSH grass throughout the spring/summer/fall seasons.
