Hello!
My name is Courtney Nichols. I am a 21 year old college student at VCU looking for the opportunity to work with or work around horses again. I have twelve years experience riding, grooming, caring for, and competing horses. I grew up in a military family, so money wasn't available for lessons; I have plenty of experience as a working student, as a groom, and as a stable hand. I have some experience in dressage and eventing, but I am primarily a hunter/equitation rider. I have competed in schooling, a few rated, and on an ISHA riding team along with one year as an assistant coach for ISHA. I have a Thoroughbred of my own that I have owned for eight years, but have leased him due to moving to Richmond. His lease ends in August, and I am interested in boarding him then, and possibly working off some board. I am especially good with Thoroughbreds off of the racetrack and working with them to a different riding discipline. I am great with any breed of horse as well! I work very hard, and take a lot of time in making sure that your horses well-being comes first. I have my own transportation and saddle. If you are in need of local stable help with experience with horses and barn chores, or needing someone to come ride and baby your horse, I would be excited to talk about working together meet you.
