We are looking for someone to board their one or two horse(s) so that our retired gelding will have company.

We have five 12"x12x stalls with mats, front and rear doors, fly-control, and fans. Horses have access to porch-style covered areas and two adjoining dry lots. These dry lots can be opened onto two grass fields, both about an acre in size. The barn has lights, water, a center aisle, and a separate area for feed and tack.
We don't have a ring, but there are jumps in one field and access to a few trails and quiet country roads.

Horses come in twice a day for grain/supplements/meds and attention. Turnout can be individual if desired. We will hold for the farrier and any regular or prearranged vet visits. We are on a regular oral dewormer and require current vaccinations. One member of our house is retired, and the other has over forty years of experience managing and loving horses. Boarders can be as hands-on or off as they choose.

Our farmette is located on Ridge Road in King George County, about 2 minutes from Route 301 and 25 minutes from 95.

The rate we ask will be as close to at-cost as possible, somewhere between $225 (spring/summer/fall) and $300 (winter), depending on the boarder horse's nutritional needs. We currently feed timothy hay and Purina Senior feed. Hay and any comparably priced grain are included in the board price.
