The Virginia Horse Council hosts its Educational Seminar & Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 18 from 9 am to 3 pm at Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave, VA.
Adult and junior equestrians will enjoy a number of timely educational sessions and activities during the day. Dr. Phil Sponenberg, our Keynote Speaker is nationally known for his genetic conservation work. Dr. Sponenberg will discuss the history of horse breeds in America. Sessions include:
Panel discussion including Virginia equine leaders:

Steve Meadows (Versatility Ranch Horse)
Maggie Nielsen (Hollins University Hunt Seat Recruiter)
Nancy Troutman (representing the American Saddlebred)
Learn about opportunities for youth in different disciplines and careers now, as well as during the college years and beyond.
Who do I talk to... my veterinarian or my farrier? Collaboration and discussion between veterinarian Dr. Doug Daniels and farrier Seth Phillips.
