David Lamb Inducted into the Virginia Livestock Hall of Fame
Submitted by: Virginia Horse Council Long-time Virginia horseman William David Lamb (1945-2023) of Gordonsville was inducted into the Virginia Livestock Hall of Fame on October 25, 2024, at Virginia Tech. David and four other outstanding Virginians were recognized for their significant contributions to the state's varied livestock industry. David was a premier horseman and industry leader. Along with wife, Sally, he owned and operated Oakland Heights Farm in Gordonsville as a center of education for the equine industry, where he worked with youth and adults on horsemanship and Western culture. The Lambs were local 4-H leaders for more than 25 years. Lamb was instrumental in the founding of the Virginia Horse Council and was a member for more than 40 years. David was nominated by the Virginia Horse Council in recognition of his lifelong support of and contributions to our equine industry. |
