Mari is a 15.2, 11yr old Quarter horse cross. For the past two years, she has been used in a trail/lesson program giving rides to beginner/intermediate riders, English and western. She is friendly, easy to catch, and handles very nicely on the ground. Under saddle, she is light in the mouth and moves nicely off of seat and leg. She will gait or trot, depending on how you set her up, and lopes nicely. She rides nicely in the arena, but where she truly excels is on the trails. Amara is levelheaded and brave, she goes well alone or in a group. She crosses water, logs, and ditches, and has excellent brakes. She ties, crossties, stands well for the farrier, occasionally wears front shoes or hoof boots when on really rocky trails, but is sound barefoot. Mari is a lovely mare who is a joy to be around and a very comfortable and responsive ride. Video available
