Hiring Full-Time Barn Manager! HMC Equestrian in Centreville, VA, is looking for an energetic, organized and dependable full-time Barn Manager to join our barn family! We are a large, active hunter and equitation lesson and show barn with currently 40 horses looking for our next team leader.

The Barn Manager position is for 5 days per week (ideally Sunday through Thursday, but we are flexible). The position could also be filled by two people (one morning shift and one afternoon/evening shift).


Qualified applicants must have:

-Excellent barn and horse management experience and skills (minimum 5 years or relevant degree)
-Extensive knowledge of horse health, nutrition, first-aid, training and care
-Successful staff supervision and management experience
-Positive, helpful attitude and the desire to be a team player
-Effective communication skills
-Friendly personality and the ability to work with children as well as adults
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Ability to drive truck and trailer and be willing to travel for horse events
-Ability to lift 50+ pounds and do manual labor
