Lesson barn in Manassas, VA seeks to add a reliable instructor to our program! Would be teaching at least beginner English lessons to children & adults. Solid basis in correct equitation and safe horsemanship an absolute MUST. Lessons consist of teaching how to groom and tack up until riders are self sufficient, and usually 30-50min of ride time depending upon the rider. Ability to safely lunge horses is also required. Knowledge and willingness to help out around the barn is a huge plus but not a requirement of the job (treating minor injuries, administering meds, cleaning tack, tiding barn etc). Part-time position, hours open for discussion but lessons are typically evenings and weekends. Hopeful for someone able to work at least one weekend day. Pay dependent upon experience.
