This is my last time advertising this super young mare before I pull her off the market until spring and re-list once she's going under saddle, and for a heck of a lot more cash. I've had a *ton* of tire kickers, more than I've had listing all the other horses I've ever sold combined, and frankly, I don't want to sell her that badly! She is sweet, easy, and even has a spotless vetting on file!
Georgia BOV is a registered, 13.3hh and growing coming 3yo (05/08/2022, Reg. #35291-22) Haflinger filly. I've owned Georgia from 5/6 months on and produced her with the intent she would likely be a forever member of my herd- unfortunately my long term plans, priorities, and available pasture space have changed slightly and I've decided to offer her only to the very best loving home.
Georgia is a modern and flashy example of her breed. I expect her to finish in the top of large pony range and boast the same sporty way of going she's proudly displayed from the beginning. This filly can MOVE. She is curious, goofy, and a bit cheeky; a pony at heart, but as kind and willing as they come. She loves anything that resembles a cookie, playing with my other young horse(s), and all kinds of human interaction. Georgia has been appropriately handled and educated for her age. She understands the basics of leading, tying, lunging, loading in the trailer, grooming, and bathing. She has worn a blanket when needed, stands wonderfully for the farrier/vet, and has extensively ponied out on the trails over the hills and through the woods, including across water, logs, and other natural obstacles. She is brave, honest, and generally unbothered by anything I've thrown at her the past year, from farm equipment to dogs, cows, and much more. She has worn a saddle and bridle, but has not been backed due to age. Georgia will be incredibly easy to start under saddle in the spring, her foundation and temperament is second to none.
I can see Georgia going in many directions- she's certainly flashy and talented enough to be successful in sport. She is absolutely one of the fanciest and most correct Haflingers I've seen, but true to her breed she is sensible enough to be a super adult amateur or family type horse. She should grow into a lovely first pony type for a kid down the line as well. Georgia is a blank slate to produce however you could dream, has no known limitations, and a basic vetting on file from an aforementioned tire kicker who didn't factor shipping costs into their budget. Georgia is predictably a very easy keeper who thrives on (halfway) decent hay and a bit of ration balancer. She has great feet and is about as low maintenance as a living breathing horse can get. Have I mentioned she's stinking cute? I have lots of pictures and videos spanning the time I've owned her that I'm happy to share.
Georgia is UTD on vet and farrier work, sound, healthy, and I have her registration papers in hand. Located in Middleburg, VA 20117. Serious inquiries only.
