After a lot of pondering and even a career change, I've decided that it is regrettably time for me to sell my horse. This is a very hard but necessary decision to make so only serious inquiries will be considered. Lower 5's, negotiable
I will also consider a full lease on or off property under the right conditions and to the right person.
Details:
-16yo Mare, 15hh Chestnut Tobiano
-Registered Spotted Saddle with W/T/C and multiple gaits (canter is like a smooth rocking horse!)
-Barefoot, has a wonderful farrier that sees her regularly
-Stands for Vet, Farrier, and bath's
-Trail horse with some arena work, games, obstacles, and Liberty training
-Completed D2 Flat and D3 Western for Pony Club
-Can be ridden in English or Western tack
-UTD on all vaccines
-Located in the Warrenton/Gainesville area
She is gaited but unfortunately has not had many owners want to work on perfecting her many gaits so she does trot. We are currently working with a trainer to build up her back end muscles in order to improve her gait stamina. I've personally worked on teaching her different cues for the trot versus a gait, however, when she tires out she defaults to the trot.
She is predominantly a trail horse but I've worked with her in the ring as well to build specific muscles and skills. Together we have completed D level certifications for Pony Club, participated in games events, mounted and unmounted obstacles to include JPR's, and we do Liberty work as well.
She is absolutely wonderful on the trail! However, she is not a loner or leader type, she does prefer to be with at least one other horse/rider. We are working on her leading skills, but she will not likely feel comfortable alone on the trails.
She is a sweet horse and can be ridden by beginners (in the arena!) but I do not recommend a strictly beginner owner for her because she has difficulty performing well if the rider confuses her. I recommend someone that has at lease SOME experience with riding, preferably experience with Canter and Gallop just to ensure that the experience of owning and riding her is a fulfilling one.
She is not "mareish" as they say; she builds strong personal connections with her human and trainer under the right circumstances. She has shown me love, forgiveness, and protection. She loves kids, doesn't mind dogs, and lives with chickens.
If interested, please contact me and I will send a link to several photos/videos of her.
