Sire's Lineage:
Qui Dandy Windsor Z, although without competition results due to injury, boasts a prestigious lineage. His sire, Quidam de Revel, was a Selle Francais bay show jumping stallion who competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. Quidam has been an influential sire for two decades. In 2004, he topped the World Breeding Championships Jumping Stallion ratings for the second year running, establishing himself as the pre-eminent – and most expensive – living sire of jumping horses. With ten (!) of his progeny jumping in Jerez 2002, he was the stallion with the most number of progeny at the WEG.
A decade later, Quidam was still a force at the London Olympic Games but more through his sons. Quidam had one representative, while his son Nabab de Reve had four, and his son, Kashmir van Schutterhof, one. Another Quidam son, Quasimodo Z had two, with singles to Vigo d'Asouilles, Guidam and Dollar da la Pierre.
At Tokyo, he was represented through his grandson, Kashmir van't Schuttershof who sired three competitors, including the star of the Games, All in.
Quidam was himself a jumping star, a member of the French Olympic Team, and fourth individually at the Barcelona Olympic Games with Hervé Godignon. A year later the patriotic French breeders were shocked when Danish businessman, Flemming Velin purchased the stallion and he moved to stand in Denmark.
Qui Dandy Windsor Z dam line is just as impressive. Including Cassini II and Caritino
When he died at the age of 28, Caretino was the last of the seven stallion sons of Caletto II to enter the Holstein Studbook. The bay Caletto II – Metellus son from the stem 826 revealed his qualities at the stallion performance test, where he received a jumping index of 145 points.
Damsire Cassini II, the younger full brother of Cassini I, was approved in Holstein in 1996 with a high jumping index. Unfortunately he was injured when young and did not compete in sport although is now sought after as a sire due to his quality and talented offspring. At his Licensing he achieved high scores for his jumping as well as for his character and temperament. Cassini I & II are sons of the great Capitol I. Capitol I was on the top of the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses) rankings lists 2000-2001. There are over 25 approved stallions by Capitol in Holstein, for example Dobel's Cento, Carthago Z, Carolus I & II, Calato, Cardento, C-Indoctro, Carano and Clearway as well as the Cassini brothers. Worldwide there are many more approved sons and in Germany alone there are 564 registered sport horses which have won in excess of €5.3 million in prizemoney. Capitol I was a valuable foundation sire in the Holstein stud book.
Cassini II's dam Wisma is by Caletto II who was awarded Champion of his year when he was licensed in Holstein. Caletto II, one of the best sons of Cor de la Bryere has been a significant influence in jumping breeding even though he only stood for 4 years. He is the sire of Classic Touch who took Luger Beerbaum to win gold at the Barcelona Olympics. Wisma also produced the young Holsteiner Verband stallion Clarimo (by Clearway) along with a full sister to Cassini I & II who has produced the licensed stallion Lovari )by Lasino). Another daughter of Wisma, Mira (by Lansing) is the dam of the licensed stallion Cassaro.
Offspring
Cassini II's progeny are modern in type and show great jumping potential. Many of his offspring qualified for the German Championships (Bundeschampionart) in Warendorf in 2005 & 2006. In 2005 one of his numerous licensed sons Camargue was sold for €230,000 to Denmark. In 2007 eight of his sons made the final selection for the stallion licensing and three were licensed. Cassini II produced the best jumping horse of the Elite Riding Horse auction in Neumunster in 2004, Caress, a mare which sold for €105,000 to a well known sport stable in Germany. Caress under the name of Ophelia, along with Cassius and Centurion are top jumping horses and are amongst many who are proving his worth as a sire of jumping horses.
Dam's Lineage
Danni's dam's sire, Hennessey, is known for his Trakehner features, including a long arching neck and flowing gaits. Hennessey is the only approved son of the 1986 Neumunster champion Seigneur and has produced notable hunters like Zarr, the leading sire of hunters in 2005 and 2006. Hennessey also sired two approved sons, Rondel (eventing) and Zito (hunters). The dam's bloodline includes the Schoenfeld Stallion, a Trakehner known for dressage and show jumping. HENNESSEY *E*competed in Preliminary Jumpers and Training Level Eventing, winning consistently at that level. His offspring consistently possess an easy going personality, and he is well-known as a canter-improving sire. Hennessey has produced successful hunters from children's hunters to derby horses including:
