. Creed is a 5yr old 17.2h OTTB. He is a very sweet boy and has a lot of go. I think he would excel with a hunter/jumper, XC career. Creed has a big motor and can be very spicy. He needs slow work, consistency, and a job.
Creed had a little less than a month with trainer Melanie Paxton working on ground work and desensitization. He was really good for her in the arena. He had to be brought home early due to an abscess and sore soles. He is now 100% sound and Xrays/PPE are welcome at buyers expense.
The times I have rode him at home have been focusing on slow work. I do not have access to an arena so this guy wants to go! He can get frustrated that he is not allowed to trot/run and throw his head but he has never offered to buck or rear under saddle. He needs an experienced and confident hand.. He is green and needs someone with the resources, and confidence to do slow work with him in an enclosed area such as a round pen or arena.
This guy is super willing but has a lot of emotional trauma from the track and gets frustrated easily so you have to slow things down for him to understand and avoid him getting worked up.
He stands tied, he is a little antsy for baths but loves the water and will try to eat the hose
This boy is awesome, he is just young and green! He needs consistency and a job!
Now on to some minor issues. Creed has been a WIP for the farrier. He has come MILES from where he started, but he still has a hard time standing for the farrier. Last time my farrier was out for a trim, he stood like a champ. But, that doesn't mean he will always be good for the farrier. Right now he is barefoot, his feet are progressing and I think he is on the right track to be able to hold shoes. His back feet are awesome, but would need front shoes for hard work.
Creed needs his teeth done, which I was planning on doing in the spring.
Other than that Creed is sound, willing, and would make an amazing and well worth it project. He is ready for someone to give him a confidence boost and a job! He is UTD on shots and coggins. PPE welcome at buyers expense.
