Gorgeous 16.1hh, 10y/o dark bay mare by To Honor and Serve is looking for fresh fields. After 50 starts and no racing injuries, "Delphi" has been off the track for two years, ridden on and off but is currently out of work.
Delphi does best with a consistent ride schedule but I regularly jump on her after 2-4 months off and get her going again without issue. She's level headed and has been primarily ridden on the trails. While she prefers to ride out with a friend, when in consistent work, she easily rides out alone. Stands patiently in the crossties for the farrier/vet and is in general very easy to work around.
She is not mare-ish and can't be bothered by another horse. Happiest when living out 24/7 but loves her grain and does well on stall board too.
Delphi has some arthritis in her hocks due to her past life on the track and a couple pasture related blemishes but is no worse for the wear and is more than capable of being your pleasure, trail, or breeding prospect - with minor maintenance, she could even do low level hunters or go second flight in the hunt field. She's a gorgeous mover and has that classic bay look that is sure to turn heads.
Delphi is not for a beginner and will require an advanced rider or someone working with a professional due to her forward nature when coming into work. Once you have her going consistently, she's a buckle ride and makes you wish they were all this easy.
