Robby (JC: TOCATCHATHIEF) is a 2013 chestnut OTTB gelding standing just shy of 15.3. He is best suited for a rider who enjoys working with a talented, willing horse in a quiet setting and one without show goals or interest in doing big, busy group activities such as fox hunting.
Located in Bluemont, VA. Priced in the low 4s, negotiable to a great home.

The good:
- He is a very scopey and comfortable ride on the flat. (We're both learning lateral work and I'm holding him back as he is quite capable with my trainer)
- He enjoys being groomed and petted, will contort himself anyway he can for a cookie, and is a very curious guy who likes to sniff all the things.
- He easily hacks out alone, in quiet settings, or with a buddy or two. He seems to enjoy trail rides as much as he enjoys ring work. We've worked through his concerns crossing water.
- He picked up groundwork very fast when sent to a trainer; he could be a fun partner for someone interested in natural horsemanship or liberty work.
- When I first got him, he was barefoot and on field board, which he could return to if the field has a run-in shed. Currently he's got four plain shoes and enjoys his stall's fan.
- He might make a good companion but is always up for playtime in the field. He's generally in the middle of the herd with no interest in being a boss.
- His brain is fine with regular work or he can have time off and be the same horse.
The not-so good:
- He can have a super jump, but I would not recommend him for that work because it worries him.
- If he's going to continue ring work, he'll require maintenance and his brain his much happier on Perfect Prep Training Day.
- He cannot be alone in a field. The two times I tried, he made a race track out of the fence line and did handstands at the gate.
- He does not handle the mental pressure of shows, even slow ones, without Ace.
- He can be claustrophobic if hacking along paths covered in trees or behind really slow horses when he's worried about something. He has overcome his concerns about a narrow, very shady creek crossing at our barn, so he can become familiarized to specific situations.
