Professional Seeks Home + Hands-On Learning in Equestrian Living
Hello! I'm a 26-year-old Warrenton native recently returned from Boston, where I work full-time (9–5, remote) as an energy engineer. I'm now seeking a rental home, apartment, or guest cottage in Virginia horse country — ideally in the $1,000–2,500+ range, flexible — with an opportunity to work, assist, or apprentice in exchange for either reduced rent or valuable mentorship in statesmanship, equestrianism, and land stewardship.
Though my direct horse experience is limited to time with friends' horses and my years in the Equestrian Club at JMU, I'm physically strong, respectful, motivated, and deeply committed to learning this life the right way. I've worked hard to build a professional career—but now, I'm trying to build a life with depth, grit, and connection to land and animals.
What I'm looking for: a place to rent in rural or semi-rural Virginia (ideally Northern or Central VA, flexible), with access to or proximity to a barn, horses, or a working estate. I'm also looking for someone willing to teach or allow hands-on learning, with the potential to trade morning, evening, or weekend help for experience or rent reduction.
What I bring: reliable income, a clean and respectful presence, physical strength, and a deep appreciation for tradition, land-based skills, and purposeful living. I aim to live a disciplined, grounded lifestyle, and my long-term vision is to earn this life, not just rent it.
